We are here for our guests!
Our guests are warmly welcome here. And we are not just saying this. We, Anna and Stefan Unterkofler, place high value on giving our guests personal service. We are happy to give tips about the best hiking routes in the region, our favourite running trails or motorcycle routes and are always ready for a chat. And of course, we will be more than happy to raise a glass of wine with you in the evening!
Our journey to the alpine way of life at the Kaprunerhof
We both have backgrounds in the restaurant business. Right from the time we met it was clear to us that we would like to one day run our own hotel. And this is exactly what we did. The Kaprunerhof has made our dream come true and has given us a profession that we love. And, we get to enjoy it in the beautiful Zell am See-Kaprun area!
Insider tips directly from us
We live in Kaprun together with our three children, Stefan, Anton and Valentina. And we love our home village! Because who else has a lake, the mountains and a glacier right outside their front door? It is for this reason that we are so active: when we aren't taking care of our hotel guests, we cycle to Zell am See, go skiing on the Maiskogel, go jogging through Kaprun or hike in the Hohe Tauern National Park. This is why we know of especially beautiful places – and we are happy to share recommendations with our guests. But sometimes we won't just tell you about these tips – we will show you them personally and hike with you to the Schützingalm, enjoy cheese tasting at the Pinzgau Milch dairy or toast with homemade schnapps distilled right at the Unteraigen hut.
Both software and hardware have to be suitable
It is a challenge to offer guests the perfect environment for the most important time of their year. But this is a challenge we gladly accept! We have furnished, outfitted and decorated our hotel with care, striking the perfect balance between Austrian tradition and modern lifestyle. But all of this "hardware" would be of no value if we didn't have the suitable "software" to match: namely, personal service from the Kaprunerhof family – each and every person on our staff is a member of this family. The joy we find in our work and our hospitality are more than just a nice façade. Our goal is to make our guests feel great, enjoy a worry-free holiday, get to know our amazing region, relax and have a wonderful time!
