Kaprun und seine Traditionen
Kaprun and its traditions
The village of Kaprun, situated in the Pinzgau region of the state of Salzburg, subsists on its traditions. Festivals, events and markets keep these traditions alive. Each autumn we celebrate our harvest with local foods, music and dance during the Harvest Festival. The area's chalets and mountain inns invite you to meet up and try various local treats during alpine summer. And Christmastime is full of traditions such as "Perchten", "Krampus" and "Anklöckeln".
We will be happy to tell you more about the traditions, give you some insider's tips or share our favourite places with you: after all, we call Kaprun our home and would be thrilled if you visit on your next holiday!
